Americans with Disabilities Act Issues

The Department issued a Deputy Directive (DD-42 REVISED) pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Department does not have a specific policy related to accessibility to the Department's web sites. This site was designed to take into account the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (ver. 1.0) published by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group, a subset of the World Wide Web Consortium. All web pages within this site meet Priority 1 web content accessibility guidelines. In addition, this site meets many of the Priority 2 guidelines.

For individuals with sensory disabilities, any document contained within this site is available in Braille, large print, on audiocassette, or computer disk. To obtain a copy in one of these alternate formats, please call or write to:
